How to get to Padova ?
By plane
Padova is most conveniently reached by plane using the airports of Venice (‘Marco Polo’) or Treviso (‘Antonio Canova’), but also more distant airports have good train connections.
Venezia “Marco Polo” Airport (49 km)
Venice “Marco Polo” Airport is one of the most important airports for international flights and for its wide range of connections. From the airport, travel to Padova:
- by bus (recommended, 45 minutes): with a regular bus service leaving every half hour from 6 am to 11 pm on weekdays and with different times on public holidays from the airport to the Padova coach and bus station. More info: Busitalia.

Bologna “Guglielmo Marconi” Airport (120 km)
Travel to Padova: Reach the Bologna Centrale train station via Marconi Express service (7 min) and take the train to Padova (about 1 hour)
Milan-Bergamo “Orio al Serio” Airport (194 km)
Travel to Padova.
- Reach the Milano Centrale train station via one of the available shuttle buses (check the airport website for info)
- Take the train to Padova
- Use the direct bus FlixBus (few frequencies per day)
By train
